Greater accuracy of our fin line tooling enables AKS supreme precision for not only for ease of assembly but additionally with improved tooling accuracy comes superior mechanical bonding and extended thermal efficiency and hence extended working life.

Quality control is paramount at AKS and is supported by staff and management at all levels to achieve total quality first time from initial enquiry to dispatch. Stringent internal test, inspection and documentation procedures approved to BS EN ISO 9002 : 1994 (Certificate No. GB 4173) are applied throughout the production process with all completed units undergoing a controlled pressure test and inspection process.

With stringent in-house quality control in place AKS demand the same high standards from our source material suppliers, only mills that can meet material specification in material content, condition and production prerequisites are employed to guarantee quality.

In addition to and when requested inspection, classification and pressure test certification by Lloyds Register or other classification society can be arranged. I.e. DNV, ABS, BV, GL, NKK.

Copperfin Manufacture
Copperfin Direct Replacement Tube Nests are manufactured using Copper Fins, 90/10 Cu Ni Tubes, Rolled Naval Brass Tubeplates and Carbon Steel Side Panels are normally ready for delivery and dispatch ex-works to anywhere in the world in 10-14 days as standard.

Budgetfin Manufacture
Budgetfin Direct Replacement Tube Nests are manufactured using Aluminium Fins, Ali Brass Tubes, Rolled Naval Brass Tubeplates and Carbon Steel Side Panels are normally ready for delivery and dispatch ex-works to anywhere in the world in 10-14 days as standard.

Water Boxes
New water boxes can be supplied fabricated from Stainless Steel if required.

Warranty
All direct replacement charge air coolers manufactured by AKS comes with a 18 months warranty period as standard from the date of delivery and guaranteed fit for purpose.

Quotations
AKS have over the years built a vast database and drawings for a large variety of marine engine charge air coolers originating from all corners of the world and can give quotations from very little information. Normally the vessel name and or engine make/model plus cooler type is sufficient, however in the event we do not have the information on the charge air cooler you require a simple questionnaire will enable us to give quotations and manufacture replacement units.
