A range of charge air coolers has been designed specifically with large marine slow and medium rpm diesel engines in mind with variable surface area accumulations per unit length available.

The Budgetfin range of air coolers are constructed using only quality materials as with the Copperfin however huge cost savings are permitted by the use of alumimium fins who's perform range is compatible with copper fins.

With 10 years in service the managers of the Norasia class of container vessels found that the Mitsubishi 7UEC85LSC main engine charge air coolers needed to be replaced, After careful consideration an order was given to AKS Heat Transfer Services International Marine Division to supply and supervise the installation of the first unit on board the vessel.

The replacement unit was manufactured and along with an experienced supervisor transported to Malta where the air cooler was installed in the port whilst the vessel was unloading. The vessel turn round was only 24 hours and the project was successfully completed with time to spare.

Due to the success and smooth operation organised by AKS further units have been ordered and installed for 3 sister vessels.
